We want to grow our business but sometimes it feels as if we are making no progress at all or, worse still, losing ground. All too often we focus on the long-term goal we have for our business and when our business growth does not reach our expectations, we can become disappointed in our progress. How do we get past this?
My suggestion is simple...
Clarify your long-term goal regarding your business growth. Then decide what is the next milestone you need to achieve on the path to that end goal. Make it a small and achievable goal. Once you have decided on the next milestone, just focus on what you need to do next to achieve that goal.
Instead of focusing on your end goal, something that you cannot achieve today and something that is currently out of your reach, focus on the next step, the next milestone.
Step by step, you will reach the end goal you have set for your business.
So what do you want to achieve in your business in the next 12 months? Write that down.
To achieve that growth goal, what do you need to achieve in the next 30 days? Now think about the milestone you need to reach in the next 7 days? You are almost there...now, what do you need to achieve in the next 24 hours? Finally, what is one piece of progress you can make in the next 60 minutes?
